2014-2017 | Apple Harvest Sessions

As summer comes to a close, I begin my apple themed sessions. I have been photographing children with apples for many years and they are one of my favorite themes to offer.

Inspired by the two master’s works below, I mix portraiture and storytelling into one session for timeless pictures that celebrate childhood and the transition from summer into autumn.

While preparing for this year’s sessions, I realized that I have taken pictures of my own son with an apple for 5 years now. I went back to look at the files and realized I have enough to make a book to compile the images from all the years so far. In looking back at the images, I wanted to see how my work has changed and to see the faces of the children I’ve photographed over the years again. I continue to photograph many of these children annually and to see them grow each year and to be a part of documenting that fills my heart ❤️ I hope you will enjoy this series of photographs from 2014-2017.
